  • How much do DJ classes in Auckland cost?
    The cost of DJ classes in Auckland can vary depending on factors like the school, course duration, and whether it's a group class or private lesson. At Industry DJ School you can expect to pay anywhere from NZ$108 per hour for group DJ classes and NZ$120 per hour for private DJ lessons.
  • Can I enroll in beginner DJ classes even if I have no prior experience?
    Yes, our beginner DJ classes are designed to accommodate individuals with no prior experience. Our curriculum includes providing a comprehensive introduction to the basics of DJing, including equipment operation, music selection, beatmatching, sctaching and mixing techniques. Enrolling in our DJ classes will provide a structured learning environment that caters to all beginners, fosters community, and helps them build a strong foundation in DJing.
  • Is there a flexible schedule for working professionals or students?
    Yes, lessons can be customised to suit your schedule, daytime and evening slots available.
  • What styles of music are covered in the DJ lessons?
    Beginner lessons are based on a variety of music styles from house to disco, hiphop & drum & bass. Block courses and individual lessons can be customised to suit your preferred musical style.
  • Will I receive a certificate upon completing the DJ program?
    Yes! a certificate of completion will be awarded upon completion along with a high quality recording of your first Dj mix.
  • Is there a performance opportunity or a recital at the end of the program?
    Yes the all the students get to complete the course and show off their skills with an in studio performance and audio recording of their first ever mix. Selected students (depending on music style) also get to perform live either online or in real life at one of our partner venues around the Ponsonby area.
  • Are there any additional costs, such as course materials or textbooks?
    No Hidden costs. Streaming services are included giving you access to unlimited music. You also have the option to rent DJ Controllers for home use.
  • Are there any discounts or promotions for enrolling in multiple courses?
    Yes, we have discounts available when you join with a friend, and also if you enroll in a 3 levels. Inquire for more details.
  • Can you learn to DJ in 3 months?
    You sure can. Our one-on-one lessons are the fastest & proven way to get results.
  • How much should I charge for my first DJ gig?
    Be prepared to charge nothing! There's a lot to be said for experience in the real world, and trial DJ sets and parties are the best way to go in becoming a professional DJ. In saying that make sure you charge customers for gear hire.
  • Are DJ courses worth it?
