About Us
Industry DJ School is a hands-on DJ school based in Ponsonby, Auckland. We teach beginners, kids, teens and working DJs on real club-standard Pioneer DJ and AlphaTheta gear, in small groups or one-on-one, in a supportive and inclusive studio where everyone is welcome. We're more than just a DJ school - we're a community of people united by a love of music.
The school was founded by director Dylan Brown (DJ Dylan B), who has spent more than 20 years behind the decks. Dylan started DJing in 2000, held club residencies by 2002 and has played internationally in Spain, Italy, France, London and the US. He has run a private events company since 2010, hosted radio shows on Radio Ponsonby and George FM, and began teaching in 2020 before opening Industry DJ School.

Beginners & Adults
Group beginner courses and weekend intensives that take you from your very first mix to confident, club-ready sets on pro gear.
Kids & Teens
Term-based lessons for ages 9-12 and 13+, building real mixing skills, creativity and confidence in a fun, supportive setting.
Working DJs
1:1 tailored lesson packs and supervised practice sessions to sharpen your technique, tighten your sets and take your DJing to the next level.
